Deployment and roll-out planning

Deployment and adoption

Getting the firm’s practices and lawyers to use a new system or adopt a new business process can often be the most challenging portion of your initiative.  Here at ii3 we are acutely aware of this challenge and have turned lessons learned over years of working with law firms and professional services organizations into a set of best practices.

These are integrated into our full project lifecycle.

  • Requirements phase: ensuring participation and consensus-building with the firm’s business and administration stakeholders during the requirements gathering phases
  • Project advisory committee: establishing “advisory committees” with key representatives from across the firm; ensuring feedback loops that inform the project team, while at the same time ensuring that committee members are visible supporters of the initiative
  • Adoption and communications plan: now an explicit aspect of the project requirements specifications documents; the creation of this plan ensures adoption challenges, methodologies and specific steps will be dealt with early-on in the project planning phases
